This is a personal post from me, I'd love to explain my 'why' and a little history about me and why I decided to be a wedding planner.
My history
I've worked in various roles over the last 16 years including waitressing, sales, account management and client services. The one thing they all have in common is people. I love working with clients and providing exceptional service. I worked in the corporate world until 2021 when I launched my wedding planning business.
My family
In January 2021, I became a mother. Having my daughter completely changed my priorities and view on life. I realised that life is too short to be working at a job that you like, but don't love.
Becoming a parent was the hardest thing I have ever done, so if I could survive this, I knew I could do anything!
One evening I was watching television with my husband, and on the screen was a wedding planner. As the programme went on, I thought 'I could do that!' The more I thought about it, the more I realised that this could be the perfect job for me. I already have years of experience in client services, planning my wedding was one of the most enjoyable projects I'd done, and I could work flexibly around my family.
My wedding
I married my husband in March 2019. We had a little church wedding in the Northamptonshire countryside. We then celebrated with our closest family and friends at a nearby venue, Crockwell Farm.
Our wedding day was the best day of my life! I'm not even exaggerating, I was on a high the whole day. When else will you have all your favourite people in the world, all together, celebrating your love?! Every guest had a smile on their face and even to this day, I still get comments saying how much fun they had at our wedding.
I want every bride and groom to feel how I felt on my wedding day! This is my 'why' and if you would like to book a call to chat about how I can help you plan your dream wedding, click the link below.
